Despite scaled down activities in Kenya during the spate of violence following the disputed presidential elections during the first few months of 2008, ETC East Africa as a company weathered the storms remarkably well.

Early in 2008 the office shifted to a more upmarket location in Nairobi and has profiled itself since then as 'consultants for change', working with both the public sector and civil society.

The main areas of focus are agriculture and natural resource management, health, decdentralisation, local governance, service delivery and aid-management.
