Henk has a long-standing experience in the non-governmental sector in International Development Cooperation, and has worked on various themes related to sustainable agriculture. Henk has experience both in program evaluation, i.e. for the Dutch fertilizer aid to Mali, and program management, like the Kenya Woodfuel and Agroforestry Program, or the EU – Phare project “Setting up Demonstration Centres for Sustainable Agriculture and Market Study” in Bulgaria, Hungary and Romania (1995-1999). More recently he has shifted his focus to the Dutch level, working on rural development and the Smart Dairy Farming program in the Netherlands and on European Union level. He has been member of the Dutch and European National Rural Network (2010-2103) and led a study on interactive style of governance in the Northern provinces of the Netherlands (2002). Henk currently advises on the European Innovation Partnerships for farmers, researchers and advisors.
