Arine Valstar is a committed development professional with over 10 years of strong international experience in the field of food security and nutrition and substantial experience in sustainable rural development, livelihoods and gender.She has developed a keen interest to promote more sustainable diets and agrofood systems that improve food and nutrition security through people-centered integrated and sustainable approaches. Before joining ETC she conducted various evaluations (both in development and humanitarian assistance contexts) with the UN, EU, and international NGOs and assisted the UN, WB and INGOs in project design, formulation and implementation.
Her academic background in both Nutrition and Social Sciences combined with good analytical, reporting and convincing presentation skills enable Arine to provide technical support to the development and review of food and nutrition security programmes and policies. Arine has strong facilitation and communication skills which are an asset in the facilitation of multi-stakeholder processes and events. She is creative and has ample experience in capacity development and monitoring and evaluation. Her geographical experience includes Europe, Africa, Asia, the Caribbean and the Middle East.
